After a long and emotional journey, Mnet’s hit survival show ‘Boys 2 Planet’ has finally revealed the official debut lineup. The new 8-member boy group, named ALPHA DRIVE ONE, was formed during a tense live broadcast finale that had fans, or “Star Creators,” on the edge of their seats.

MC Kim Jaejoong explained the group’s powerful name: “It signifies one official team with the goal, passion, and drive to become the absolute best. Please look forward to the journey of growth and leaps that the official group of ‘Boys 2 Planet’ will create.”

The announcement of the final lineup was done in a dramatic countdown style, starting from 7th place.

7th Place: Jeong Sang-hyeon The first member to be called, Jeong Sang-hyeon, was visibly shocked. “I didn’t expect this at all,” he said, gathering his thoughts. “Thank you so much for loving me, even though I’m lacking in many ways. I will never forget this moment and will continue to move forward.”

6th Place: Irio “I sincerely thank the Star Creators who supported me,” said Irio. “I know supporting me wasn’t an easy task, but as a proud member of ALPHA DRIVE ONE, I will repay your love with amazing activities.”

5th Place: Zhang Jiahao Speaking in heartfelt, still-learning Korean, Zhang Jiahao expressed his gratitude. “I never imagined I would get a result like this. I think a little bit of luck started coming into my life after I met all of you. Thanks to you, I was able to live a happier life every day.”

4th Place: Kim Geon-woo “This is a moment I’ve dreamed of for a long time during my trainee life,” Kim Geon-woo shared, looking stunned. “I was so worried about whether I could debut in the final. I’m bewildered because this is an unexpected moment.”

3rd Place: He Xinlong He Xinlong thanked his global fanbase, saying, “Thanks to you, I was able to stand on this amazing stage and become a person who receives more love.”

The Battle for #1 Center Position

The tension peaked as the final two candidates for first place were revealed: Lee Sang-won, who had consistently ranked high, and Zhou Anxin.

In the end, Lee Sang-won was crowned the #1 member and the official center of ALPHA DRIVE ONE. A fan favorite who held the top spot since the first survival announcement, he smiled brightly and said, “Thanks to you, I am so happy. Thank you so much. Without the fans, the Star Creators, I can’t even say I would be here.”

This placed Zhou Anxin as the solid #2 member of the group.

The Final, Dramatic Reveal

In a classic Mnet twist, the final spot in the group was contested between three trainees: Kim Jun-seo, Yu Kang-min, and Choi Rip-woo.

The eighth and final member to join ALPHA DRIVE ONE was Kim Jun-seo. Overcome with emotion, he bowed deeply. “Honestly, this challenge was scary, and I had more fear than excitement,” he confessed. “I was trying to think that I would be happy even if I were eliminated, but thank you for giving me the gift of debuting.”
